Catherine's Story: Big Build Families

Big Build 2019 is underway. In 1 week, the team will build 10 homes beside local families, supporting Orphaned and Vulnerable children in the community. This is Catherine, one of the beneficiaries, read her story below.

Catherine is a 37 year old single mother of 4 children. Both she and one of her daughters are HIV positive.

The family currently lives in Maambo Village in Lilongwe and their house is old and very dilapidated. The roof has many holes, which means it is at risk of falling in on the family, especially during the rainy season. 

As part of Big Build 2019, Catherine will work alongside volunteers from across Ireland to build a safe & secure place, that she can call home.
