From the beginning of the crisis Habitat Poland have been on the ground, supporting refugees from Ukraine to secure temporary shelter.
Over the last four years, Habitat Poland have piloted and delivered their ‘Empty Spaces’ programme over the last 4 years. The programme renovates empty flats or houses in Warsaw, providing accommodation for those in need of affordable housing. Due to the ongoing crisis, Habitat Poland will continue to roll out this programme, to provide mid/long-term housing solutions to the most vulnerable families.
Habitat ReStore in Warsaw is furnishing units where Habitat is placing refugees fleeing from the crisis in Ukraine. ReStore is also acting as a source of furniture, bedding and household supplies for host families who have opened their homes to refugees.
