In Ireland, and around the world, when we bring people together to build, we break down barriers and create stronger communities; where everyone has the opportunity to grow.
Today, Habitat works with other charities and communities to improve the quality of housing and community buildings for vulnerable groups. Through Habitat ReStore we serve thousands of local families by creating access to low cost home improvement materials and provide learning and employability training for people of all ages including vulnerable groups. Our partnerships remain focused on reconciliation and building strong, vibrant communities in which everyone can reach their full potential.
The ‘House to Home' programme support vulnerable people who have been homeless to sustain tenancies in rental accommodation by helping them to make a house a home. This project will help make a house ‘a home’ for people who need a fresh start, and are already among the most vulnerable in our community. Habitat will mobilise volunteers to deliver a dramatic impact, both physically and socially.
House to Home volunteer days are Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 9:30am – 4:30pm in the Lisburn & Greater Belfast areas.
This is a great opportunity for individuals or groups to join with us in supporting the most vulnerable in our community.Fill in the form here
