ReStore Ballymena: Social Enterprise of the Year

Congratulations to the staff & volunteers at Habitat ReStore Ballymena, who have won 'Social Enterprise of the Year' at the Ballymena Business Awards! Thank you to all our customers, partners and volunteers who make our work possible.

Habitat ReStore is a low cost DIY store which sells donated new and used building supplies and home improvement materials. 

Currently our ReStores in Lisburn, Ballymena, Newry and Newtownards are delivering real impacts for local people and the wider community; helping low income families improve their homes at prices low cost, supporting people of different abilities and backgrounds to learn new skills and diverting tonnes of reusable waste from landfill.

In challenging economic times the need for low cost materials is so important, even during lockdown when ReStore was closed to the public Habitat worked in partnership with WomensAid, DePaul and local churches to provide support for the most vulnerable people in our community.
